Especially with its extensive cross-country skiing offer, the area around Lake Achensee has made a name for itself among winter sports fans and has become one of the most popular cross-country skiing trails in Tyrol. Around 200 kilometers of cross-country trails allow for almost unlimited cross-country skiing fun.

Snow lovers can roam through the Karwendel Nature Park on snowshoes, or on foot, or prefer to go tobogganing on one of the great toboggan-runs. At Lake Achensee, visitors have many opportunities to enjoy the cold season. For example, doing laps at the ice-skating rink or trying curling for the first time.
